MUSIK
AGENDA
Eva is also very active in the sacred music repertoire. In the last year she has debuted as the alto soloist in Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, Messiah and Israel in Egypt by Handel, St John‘s Passion by Bach, Christmas Oratorio by Saint Saens and Gloria by Vivaldi amongst others.
Outside of the operatic and sacred repertoire, her love lies with chamber music. She has given numerous recitals in Germany, Italy, Belgium and in the Netherlands together with her duo partner Martha Van Damme, focusing especially on the romantic and post romantic german and french composers. Together they won in both 2015 and 2016 prizes in the Schmolz und Bickenbach Competition for chamber music. They are also laureates of the „Udo Reinemann International Masterclasses“ 2015/2016 and of the International Lied Festival in Zeist in 2019. As a duo they have been broadcasted by the national radio stations NPO Radio4 in the Netherlands and Rtbf Musiq3 in Belgium.
In 2019 Eva co-founded together with friends and former fellow students the vocal octet Rheinstimmen Ensemble, focussing on early and contemporary music. As well as a residency in Düsseldorf’s Johanneskirche, in autumn 2019 they will make their debut singing the semichorus in Oper Köln’s production of Hamlet by Brett Dean.
Eva is also a member of Choreos, a vocal and dance ensemble under the direction of Stephan Lutermann and Lars Scheibner, and of the RSH Vokalensemble, under the direction of Martin Berger and Timo Nuoranne. In the last few years Eva has been a scholarship recipient from DAAD, PROMOS and Deutschlandstipendium.
The italian mezzosoprano Eva Marti is a versatile and exceptional musician, feeling at home both in operatic repertoire as well as in chamber music and oratorio.
Eva discovered her passion for singing at the age of 6 in the renowned children’s choir “I Minipolifonici”, under the direction of M° Nicola Conci. During her high school years she sang in the vocal ensemble “Adusai” directed by M° Pilar Bravo and took private singing lessons with Antonella Gianese.
After initially studying Set Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in her hometown Milano, Eva moved to Germany in 2013, joining the class of Prof. KS. Jeanne Piland at the “Robert Schumann Musikhochschule” in Düsseldorf. Following the completion of her Bmus with the highest mark, in 2017 she pursued her Mmus in the class of Prof. Konrad Jarnot, and obtained her Masters Degree in July 2019. During this time she furthered her development in vocal artistry through the participation in various masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Brigitte Fassbaender (vocal technique), Anne Sofie von Otter, Julius Drake, Malcom Martineau (lied interpretation), Jill Feldmann and Lavinia Bertotti (early music).
During the last few years Eva has collected a broad stage experience. In Summer 2015 she sang Flora in Verdi’s La Traviata in a production of the Schlossfestspiele Zwingenberg, where she returned in the summer 2019 to make her debut as Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. In 2017 and 2018 she sang the role of Fidalma in Concert Royal Köln’s production of Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto, under the direction of Philipp Harnoncourt. In Spring 2018 she made her debut as the title role in Rossini’s Cenerentola and in 2019 she was Hermia in A Midsummer Night‘s Dream by Britten, both productions of the RSH in Duesseldorf.
